PRODUCT PROFILE
Product Overview:
Belt conveyors, also known as rubber belt conveyors, are widely used in various industries such as home appliances, electronics, electrical equipment, machinery, tobacco, injection molding, postal services, printing, and food processing for tasks including assembly, inspection, testing, packaging, and transportation of objects.
Belt conveyors feature strong conveying capacity, long conveying distances, simple structure for easy maintenance, and the ability to implement programmed control and automated operations. They utilize the continuous or intermittent movement of conveyor belts to transport items weighing less than 100 kg or powdered/granular materials. They operate at high speeds, smoothly, with low noise levels, and can convey materials up and down slopes.
Performance Features:
Belt conveyors are commonly used continuous transportation equipment in coal mines. Compared to other transportation equipment (such as locomotives), they offer advantages such as long conveying distances, high capacity, and continuous operation. They are reliable, easy to automate, and suitable for centralized control. Especially in high-output mines, belt conveyors have become key equipment in coal mining electromechanical integration technology and machinery.
The main feature of belt conveyors is that their frames can be easily extended or retracted. They are equipped with a belt storage compartment, and the tail section can be extended or retracted as the coal mining face advances. They have a compact structure, do not require a foundation, and can be directly laid on the tunnel floor. The frames are lightweight and easy to disassemble and reassemble. When the conveying capacity and distance are large, intermediate drive units can be added to meet the requirements. According to the requirements of the conveying process, it can be used as a single unit or combined with multiple units to form horizontal or inclined transportation systems for material handling.
Main applications:
Belt conveyors are widely used in industries such as metallurgy, coal mining, transportation, hydropower, and chemicals because they offer advantages such as high conveying capacity, simple structure, easy maintenance, low cost, and strong versatility.
Belt conveyors are also used in the building materials, power, light industry, grain, port, and shipping industries.
Working Principle:
A belt conveyor primarily consists of two end rollers and a closed conveyor belt tightly wrapped around them. The roller that drives the conveyor belt is called the drive roller (transmission roller); the other drum, which only changes the direction of the conveyor belt's movement, is called the redirecting drum. The drive drum is driven by an electric motor through a reducer, and the conveyor belt is dragged by the friction between the drive drum and the conveyor belt. The drive drum is generally installed at the unloading end to increase traction and facilitate dragging. Materials are fed into the conveyor belt at the feeding end, fall onto the rotating conveyor belt, and are transported to the unloading end by the friction of the conveyor belt.
